OBJECTIVE
Our goal is to craft a unified brand identity for an organization that manages seven distinct sports halls and stadiums. The brand must deliver consistent and memorable visual communication across all marketing platforms, tailored to each individual venue. The design should be simple yet distinctive, creating a strong, recognizable presence that stands out while remaining flexible.
NAMING
We began with the name. Palestra - derived from the ancient Greek word palaistra, meaning a public place for wrestling and athletic training. Evokes the timeless spirit of sport and movement. We combined it with Malacky, the Slovak town where these sports venues are located. The result is Malestra.  A name that is unique, catchy, and deeply rooted in both historical significance and local identity.
LOGO DESIGN
After laying the groundwork in the strategy phase, defining the core characteristics of the brand to ensure clear communication and a solid understanding, we moved on to designing the visual identity, starting with the logo.
Our aim was to create something memorable and visually appealing, especially for a younger, active audience with a passion for growth and movement. After many sketches and ideas, we landed on an abstract mark made up of three elements. Together, they represent a person in motion. The design was strongly inspired by the Greek statue Discobolus, a classic symbol of athleticism and dynamic energy. The Greek influence also ties back to the brand name, making it a fitting reference. Paired with a clean, rounded logotype, the final Malestra logo feels friendly and energetic, capturing the spirit of the brand in a simple, modern way.
